Clowise Tablet is a dual antiplatelet medication formulated with Aspirin (75 mg) and Clopidogrel (75 mg)  two clinically proven agents that work synergistically to prevent blood clots, heart attacks, and strokes. It plays a vital role in maintaining cardiovascular health in patients with coronary artery disease, ischemic stroke, and peripheral vascular disease.

This combination ensures optimal platelet inhibition, thereby reducing the risk of thrombosis (blood clot formation) while maintaining proper blood flow in arteries. Clowise is recommended for patients with a history of myocardial infarction (MI), angioplasty, stent placement, or stroke prevention.

Mechanism of Action

Clowise combines two powerful antiplatelet agents that act through different mechanisms to deliver comprehensive protection against clot formation:

• Aspirin (75 mg):
  Acts by irreversibly inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX-1) enzyme, which blocks the formation of thromboxane A2, a substance responsible for platelet aggregation. This helps prevent the platelets from clumping together, thereby reducing the risk of clot formation.
• Clopidogrel (75 mg):
  Is a P2Y12 receptor antagonist that inhibits ADP-mediated platelet activation and aggregation. It ensures long-lasting platelet inhibition and complements aspirin’s action, providing dual protection against cardiovascular events.

Indications for Use

Clowise Tablet is indicated for condition which are mentioned below:

• Prevention of heart attack (myocardial infarction) and stroke
• Post-angioplasty or stent placement therapy
• Management of acute coronary syndrome (ACS)
• Stable and unstable angina (chest pain)
• Peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
• Secondary prevention of thromboembolic disorders

Dosage and Administration

The dosages of this medicine must be taken as prescribed by the doctor. Self medication or irregular medicine can cause serious problems some of the recommended dose by healthcare professionals are : 

• One tablet daily, or as directed by the physician.
• Should be taken with or after food to minimize gastric irritation.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.
