Nitroglycerin 2.6mg Tablet is an effective medicine in treating and preventing heart-related chest pain (angina). It occurs when the heart muscles are not getting enough supply of blood. This medicine functions by relaxing and widening blood vessels. Through it, the blood can flow more easily to the heart. One should take Nitroglycerin 2.6mg Tablet as per the dose and duration advised by the healthcare professional, with or without food at a fixed time each day.

Do not take more than the recommended dose as it may cause harmful effects on the body. Over time, your body may develop tolerance to this medication, which means the same does become less effective. So you have to stick to a particular dosing schedule to prevent this from happening. Further, you can confer with your doctor for more detailed information regarding the usage of Nitroglycerin tablets.

How to Use Nitroglycerin 2.6mg Tablet

Take this medication by mouth, usually 3 to 4 times daily or as directed by your doctor. It is important to take the drug at the same time each day. Do not change the dosing times unless directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.

Swallow this medication whole. Do not crush or chew the capsules. Doing so can release all of the drugs at once and may increase your risk of side effects.

Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not suddenly stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.
